Luther League High School Youth Group

Luther League is the high school ministry of St. Peter Lutheran Church. As a group, we gather to check in, study the Bible, and grow in faith together.

Luther League also includes many service opportunities and other chances to get involved. High school age youth are welcome to be as active in Luther League as you would like to be.

2022 Summer Trip

Calling all 9th-12th graders!

After much discussion, the summer 2022 Luther League trip will be to Camp Kirchenwald in Lebanon, PA!

When are we going?

This trip will take place the week of July 17, 2022. We will likely leave later in the day on Friday, July 15 and arrive back home on Sunday, July 24 (travel schedules will be finalized as we get closer depending what the group wants to stop and do along the way)

What will we do?
This will be a fun-filled week with a mix of service projects and outdoor adventures such as white water rafting, caving, and participating in the camp’s high ropes course. Some of the service project possibilities include working with kids, serving at a food program, or helping with some outdoor projects around the camp. As a group, we'll have the opportunity to help shape our week and decide which activities we’d most like to do.

Where will we stay?
We will be staying in Camp Kirchenwald's retreat center with bunk beds, showers, and a large group meeting space.

How much does it cost?
The estimated cost for this trip is about $775 per person, which includes all of your meals and activities, transportation and housing costs, a trip t-shirt, and more! Of that $775, we are asking students to contribute $125 out-of-pocket, and we will fundraise the rest.

Sound like fun??? If so, here’s what I need from you…

  • Verbal commitment to Christin that you plan to go (as soon as you know) and a $125 non-refundable deposit by January, 9th
    • Committing to go on this trip also includes committing to help with all fundraising efforts and participate in trip meetings.
  • If after July 1st you decide to back out of the trip for a non-medical reason, your family will be responsible for paying an additional $250 to help cover non-refundable expenses for your slot.
