Congregational Treasurer

With Gale planning to retire at the end of 2021, we are looking for a St. Peter member interested in serving as our congregational treasurer. As an officer of the congregation appointed by the Church Council, the treasurer is responsible for providing financial procedures for the church including writing and signing all checks, paying bills, preparing monthly financial reports, and advising the Stewardship and Finance committee.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality, be familiar with Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures, and willing to learn the church's financial and budgeting software. Ideally, our new treasurer will start in the next few months in order to train with Gale before his retirement.
